A Family Tradition

On a warm summer day in 1975 Danny’s Fish and Chips opened its doors for the first time in Scarborough-Agincourt. As a young entrepreneur Danny worked tirelessly to ensure that his product and service were of top quality. Humble beginnings flourished into a successful family-owned business as the homemade batter recipe and fresh cut fries became a cornerstone of the area.

Our family then moved the restaurant to Markham in 1985 where many great relationships were formed as the recipe was passed along through generations. Without the support of amazing customers and staff alike Danny’s Fish and Chips could not exist in its current capacity.

After a short break Danny’s made a leap to the North. We reintroduced our fish and chips in Stroud at the beginning of 2006. Following five great years in the Innisfil community, Danny’s wanted to share our recipe with the larger Simcoe region. Moving to the city of Barrie seemed like an excellent next step. Since relocating to Barrie we here at Danny’s Fish and Chips have been warmly welcomed. The team at Danny’s feels honoured to be sharing a familial legacy with such a supportive group of individuals for the past 45 years.
